Why do I need to follow the 3 step process for introducing an agent?
Recruiting Experience: We aim to provide a world-class experience to every prospective agent, and to do that, we need to prepare.
Culture Vetting: Before we speak to each agent, we need to research if they are a fit for our culture.
Production: Before we speak to each agent, we need to research their business.
Coordination: We need to make sure we are internally ready and coordinated for the conversation.
What happens if I introduce a team with multiple partners? Do I get an incentive for each agent?
Introduction incentives are applied to the team level: one team equals one incentive payment.
What happens if an Agent has already met with Compass previously? Could they still be eligible?
If Compass has met with an agent previously, they may still be eligible for a new AIP introduction. Check with AIP@Compass.com to determine any Agents eligibility.
For more details on AIP eligibility, please see our Terms & Conditions.
Once I submit a name to AIP, how long do I have to make this introduction?
Once you submit a name of a prospective agent to AIP, they will be reserved in your name for 14 days. If after 14 days you have not yet made the introduction, the Growth Team will pursue this prospective agent through other channels.
Can I make an introduction without consulting AIP or the Strategic Growth Team first?
AIP policy requires that you check-in with AIP or a member of the Strategic Growth Team FIRST, before making any introduction.
Part of our goal is to ensure we provide an excellent recruiting experience for our prospective agents. In order to ensure this outcome, our growth team takes extensive time to research prospects and confirm their eligibility to join Compass. For that reason, we ask to always reach out to AIP@compass.com first, before introducing the prospective agent, to allow our growth team the time to research and prepare for a seamless recruitment process. Additionally, we want to ensure the prospective agent is eligible for AIP and that you can receive credit for your efforts.
What happens if I make an introduction but the prospective agent doesn't meet with an SGM?
If the prospective agent doesn't meet with an SGM, the Growth Team may attempt alternative methods/introductions to pursue this opportunity. Your introduction may be ineligible for AIP credit.
Will an introduction I made before July 1st, 2022 expire after 6 months?
Any AIP introductions made prior to July 1st will be honored and maintain the 1 year expiration period and introductions made on or after July 1st will be valid for 6 months.
What happens if I need to make an introduction in-person or on a call (i.e no written documentation of my intro)?
In this situation, please contact AIP@Compass.com for guidance before making the introduction. Documentation will still be required and we need you to engage with the program beforehand.
How will my introduction be tracked?
The SGM or SGP will send the documented introduction to AIP@Compass.com for tracking in our systems.
When are incentives paid?
AIP has payment/grant cycle dates four times per year based on when the new agent joins Compass.
Agent Joins Q1: payment/grant cycle beginning end of May
Agent Joins Q2: payment/grant cycle beginning end of August
Agent joins Q3: payment/grant cycle beginning end of November
Agent Joins Q4: payment/grant cycle beginning end of February
Official incentive selections are made roughly two weeks prior to the payment date based on the incentives that are available in the upcoming payment/grant cycle. They are processed after a final confirmation that all program rules and policies have been met.
For more details on incentives, please see our Terms & Conditions.
Do incentives expire?
AIP incentives expire 1 year after they have been deposited into the agent's account. If you have a question on when a specific incentive expires, please reach out to aip@compass.com.
For more details on incentives, please see our Terms & Conditions.
What happens if I miss the incentive selection deadline?
Agents must make their AIP incentive selection by the designated date (as communicated by the AIP team) prior to the payment cycle they are currently scheduled for. If this deadline is missed, the agent has 30 days after the payment cycle date to reach out to aip@compass.com with their incentive selection in order to be included in the next upcoming payment cycle. If the AIP team doesn’t hear back from the agent within 30 days of their current payment cycle date, the agent forfeits the right to their incentive and no incentive will be processed for the agent.
How does the Marketing Budget incentive work?
The marketing budget will be deposited into your Compass business center account. This budget will be available for you to use for 1 full year. If you'd like to check your marketing balance please reach out to marketing@compass.com.
** Please note that Compass agents working in the State of Rhode Island are not eligible to receive the marketing budget incentive.
How does the Coaching Budget incentive work?
When you select this incentive, your AIP credit will be added to your account on the Coaching at Compass site. The budget will be tied to your account (similar to an online gift card), and before making a purchase, you'll be able to apply your balance. Purchases will automatically deduct from your available balance, and your coaching budget expires 1 year from the deposit date. If you have additional questions, feel free to reach out to coaching@compass.com.
Can I introduce a commercial agent through AIP?
Yes you can! If a Commercial Agent joins us through the AIP, then it's eligible for the same incentives as the AIP. However, we only have a small commercial presence in a limited set of markets currently (Southern California, San Francisco, and New York) so it's not all that frequent that we have a successful commercial agent introduction. If you have a commercial agent you'd like to introduce, please email aip@compass.com and let us know.
What can the Marketing Budget be used for?
Marketing budget can be used for a variety of materials to help you grow your business, such as advertising, listing brochures, and more. The exact uses are detailed in this document.
